Friends
The girls in my dorm were family. Jessica was my best friend at school. She was like a ray of sunshine, always smiling. Her hair was the prettiest dstk red, with thick curls, that bounced when she walked. Jenny left the school in the second grade. Her parents, were unable to adjust to not having there daughter at home, so they took there daughter out of the blind school, put her in the local public school, where I hear she did quite well, with support from her family and the local school. Nicole had the straightest blonde hair, I have ever seen. She was like a butterfly, always changing her hair and makeup. She spent time every morning fixing her hair and make up, making sure it was just right, before we went to breakfast. Nicole's best friend was Elizabeth. Elizabeth, was a day girl, Nicole and Liz wore there hair the exact same way, hung out all the time together, when she stayed the night at school. Lisa had the prettiest smile. She was like an old teddy bear, you could pour your heart out to her, she wouldn't say a word. Lisa and Stephanie were best friends, they were together all the time. Stephanie had long brown hair and brown eyes, her hair was almost as long as mine. Laura was very artistic. She did all of the signs for the sixth grade play. Laura and I had physical therapy together twice a week in the gym. Chasity had a beautiful southern accent, she was a transfer student from the Kentucky School For The Blind. We first met on track and field day in the fourth grade. Sara was like a baby. She was always asking everyone for help with making her bed and getting dressed in the morning, would wine and complain to get out of doing her homework. She was very clingy, she did not want to be left alone for a minute by herself. She wanted assistance with every simple and little task in the dorm.
